That’s how I found it!
“I have no idea what happened! That’s how I found it!”, I explained, as the rest of my family wandered down the stairs, anticipating our usual Saturday morning breakfast bonanza of waffles and cartoons. From the looks on everyone’s faces, I knew that each of them was just as shocked as I was. Something had re-arranged all the furniture in the living room while all of us, even the dog, were asleep. But how could this happen without at least one of us waking up? It was like our entire household was purposely knocked out so that a prank this big could actually work. None of it made any sense, after all, it was October, long away from April 1st! All six members of my stunned family looked around the room for even the smallest clue. But nothing was broken, pictures were carefully placed in new positions on the side-table, the rug was perfectly turned ninety degrees and squared up with the sofa, which now occupied the opposite side of the coffee table. We noticed that this was the only thing that was still exactly where it had always been, maybe because it was a hexagon and weighed a ton? Someone checked the front door, it was still locked. This was an inside job and one of you did it.
